Production Lead
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Lead is an exciting opportunity to join a creative and fast-moving industry based out of our Kelowna facility. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to lead a small team of individuals, be trained in all areas of responsibility, and perform duties in a highly regulated industry utilizing the appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines.
Shift Schedules:
Night Shift 4:00pm – 2:30am (Monday – Thursday)
Day Shift 6:00am – 4:30pm (Monday – Thursday)
Weekend Shift 7:00am – 7:00pm (Friday – Sunday)
DUTIES:
- Communicate with the Supervisor and Supervisory Alternate to address production and performance issues and training requirements
- Responsible for monitoring the team’s production targets/deadlines, daily performance and time management
- Follow standardized work procedures and adhere to safe work practices
- Remain up to date on all SOPs and maintain documentation required for compliance
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as required
- Support new employees with on job training and provide mentorship
- High level of attention to detail while meeting strict timelines and production practices
- Work independently under limited supervision or in a team environment
- Provide performance feedback on team members to the supervisor and partake in employee evaluations
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Supervisory Alternate
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school education required
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Excellent leadership qualities, with a proven ability to train employees, set and achieve goals and expectations working with up to 10 staff
- High level of personal integrity with quality assurance being a primary focus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills must be detail oriented
- Able to trouble shoot problems while maintaining a positive attitude
- Able to lift 30 lbs. on a regular basis
- Able to successfully complete satisfactory criminal record check
