Maintenance Coordinator

Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for administration of the Computerized Maintenance Management System and scheduling preventative and reactive repairs with the issuance of work orders. Track maintenance and parts usage to effectively maximize labour resources. Work with operations and contractors to prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities around the production schedule. The successful candidate will maintain the company’s maintenance history, while providing data of the completed work orders for auditing purposes.


  • Develop, coordinate and ensure completion of preventative maintenance schedules for all processing equipment and HVAC
  • Prioritize and assign work by generating work orders
  • Documents and maintains contract warranty services
  • Uploads training, equipment information, task directions, and equipment locations to CMMS
  • Log maintenance history and analyzes trending breakdowns to prevent reoccurrences
  • Ensure contractor compliance with company policies and guidelines
  • Maintains and organizes adequate parts inventory and orders items as necessary
  • Calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value
  • Executes equipment audits and record-taking policies
  • Gather suggestions for continual improvement opportunities before, during and after scheduled and unscheduled outages
  • Plan future development in line with strategic business objectives
  • Implement initiatives to ensure that best practices are achieved in every aspect of service delivery with a focus on cost, quality, and client satisfaction
  • Complete other duties assigned by the Facility Manager


  • 5+ years’ experience in a maintenance position or applicable experience
  • Familiarity with GMP procedures and compliance an asset
  • Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of warehouse systems an asset
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and implement preventative maintenance programs
  • Proficiency with preventative maintenance software
  • Superb time management skills
  • A practical, flexible, and innovative approach to work
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize your workload
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to complete a satisfactory criminal record check
