Inventory Control Specialist

Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, the Inventory Control Specialist – Labels is responsible for ordering, staging, and cycle counts on labels and label materials. The individual is also tasked with identifying problems with label inventory and conducting root cause analysis to keep an accurate label inventory at all times.

DUTIES:

  • Responsible for coordinating the receiving, storage and accuracy of label inventory
  • Print off master case labels for final packaged products
  • Work with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs to ensure the accuracy of label content while monitoring the approval process
  • Lead label procurement process while coordinating with all key stakeholders
  • Conduct regularly scheduled cycle counts on label inventory
  • Be the main point of contact for labels for Quality Assurance, Production Planning, Inventory Control and Regulatory Affairs
  • Determine and action on any label inventory discrepancies
  • Provide administrative support for operational functions, including product and service procedures in alignment with Quality Assurance and GMP requirements
  • Perform cycle counts on inventory, investigate errors and handle discrepancies with appropriate site contact(s)
  • Provide labels for the staging of products for production to ensure accurate lots and amounts are being processed according to the production schedule
  • Compare information on batch records to physical inventory to ensure accuracy of weights/amounts and label information
  • Review documentation and monitor production lots to identify discrepancies
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operational costs
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years minimum experience in a related field
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field required
  • Experience with ERP Software required (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft NAV/Business Central)
  • Proven experience with presentations and report writing
  • Highly conscientious and attentive; uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated capability as a team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to professional development and knowledge acquisition
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
  • Successful satisfactory completion of Criminal Record Check required
